Gran Tourismo con Lancia – diese Freude stand für An- und Abreise der meisten Teilnehmer vom europäischen Festland und Großbritannien auf die grüne Insel auf dem Programm. Was vor ungefähr 25 Jahren im Friaul begonnen hatte, wurde 2026 in der irischen Grafschaft Wicklow erfolgreich fortgesetzt.
Jetzt waren „wir“ schon bald in jedem europäischen Land: Italien, Belgien, Frankreich, den Niederlanden, Österreich und Slowenien: eine Gruppe von Fulvia-Eigentümern, die jährlich einmal an illustren Orten zusammenkommt, um die Freunde zu sehen, die Fulvias artgerecht zu bewegen und die Gastlichkeit der Einladenden zu genießen. Nachdem die Gruppe der Englisch-Sprechenden Teilnehmer, die stets die weite Anreise nach Mitteleuropa auf sich genommen hatten, immer größer geworden war, waren diesmal die Kontinentaleuropäer aufgerufen, ihre Fulvias weiter weg zu bewegen. Die irischen Lancia-Freunde luden 2026 in die Grafschaft Wicklow südlich von Dublin an der Ostküste Irlands ein.
14 Fulvias, beladen mit 33 Personen aus Italien, Belgien, Deutschland, Großbritannien, den Niederlanden und Österreich wurden von fünf irischen Organisatoren empfangen, betreut und mit einem attraktiven Besuchsprogramm verwöhnt. Sechs Berlinas, acht Coupés und keine Fulvia Sport legten an den zwei Tagen 150 km im LINKSVERKEHR zurück. Brav in der Kolonne durch die typischen Alleen, mit Steinmauern einfasste kleinen Straßen, über die irischen Berge und die unvermeidlichen Kreisverkehre wurden die Fulvias nicht überfordert – bei typisch irischem Wetter von Sonnenschein, dunklen Wolken und heftigen Regenschauern begleitet.
Ein Tag Dublin (bitte nicht Dablin aussprechen, es heißt Dublin!): Guinness-Brauerei als Erlebniswelt, Stadtrundfahrt im Doppeldecker, Lunch im Pub, Museum und und und. Ein Tag irische Bergwelt, Klostergeschichte, Schlösser und Whiskey-Destillerie.
Vielen Dank an die Organisatoren, die stolz ihre grüne Heimat präsentierten, wegen der Kontinentaleuropäer zeitweise auch (verständliches) Englisch sprechen mussten: Alan, David, David and John thank you very much, it was a great pleasure for us.

After five days in Irland I should speak and write English very well, but …
Gran Tourismo con Lancia – this was joy and motto for the way to and home from Ireland for the visitors from all over continental Europe and Great Britain. Started about 25 years ago in Friuli the RFM-Meeting 2026 took place in the County Wicklow in Ireland.
“We” met nearly in all European countries – Italy, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Austria and Slovenia – a group of Fulvia-owners, each year at interesting places to see the friends, move our Fulvias (“appropriate to the species”) and enjoy the hospitality of the regional hosts. Starting with only a few foreigners the number of the English-speaking participants was growing – they had to drive a long way to their friends – this year the participants from continental Europe must drive the long way to County Wicklow in Ireland following the invitation of the Irish Fulvia-owner.
14 Fulvias with 33 passengers from Italy, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands and Austria met five organizers who had built a very attractive program. Six Berlinas, eight Coupés drove on two days 150 km in the Irish traffic on the “wrong” side of the road, through small alleys, with stone-walls and roundabouts, over the mountains – with Irish weather from sunshine, clouded sky to heavy rain.
First day Dublin: Guinness-Brewery, City-tour with coach, lunch in typical pub, museum and and and. Next day over the mountains of the County Wicklow with abbeys, castles and Whiskey-brewery.
Many, many thanks to the organizers, who showed us their wonderful green Ireland as a paradise (for golfers und Fulvias), sometimes they MUST speak English for the people from the continent so far away. Alan, David, David and John thank you very, very much, it was a great pleasure for us.
