Unser Freund Getulio Ferri aus Vicenza hat uns die untenstehende Ankündigung einer interessanten Veranstaltung in Norditalien geschickt. Und dies noch mitten in seinen Vorbereitungen für die Mille Miglia 2015, an welcher als Beifahrer teilnehmen wird. In einem Fiat 8 V!
Dear Ernst,
I inform you that on 5 and 6 June next will take place on the roads of the Riviera del Brenta, between Padua and Venice, an extraordinary event: the Rally of Champions. A friendly meeting that will bring together many champions of yesterday and today to pay tribute to the Italian and international rallying.

„Rally“ means gathering.
And this is precisely the reason why we chose to call this event the „Rally of the Champions‘.

A gathering of rally drivers and racing cars that aims to honour Italians and foreign champions who have made legendary various road races in the last half century with their inimitable driving styles, their performances and their victories.

From Padua nearly to Venice, along the seventy kilometers of the famous Riviera del Brenta, characterized by the presence of almost two hundred spectacular Venetian Villas, you can enjoy a great parade of men and cars that have written unforgettable pages of the international rally.
A maximum of sixty cars with special historic and collectible value will be allowed for the first edition; twenty of them at the invitation of the Committee organizer.
In the selection of car we will privilege the authenticity, the palmares and any originality of the restoration.

Friday 5th June
15:30 – 18:00 scrutineering and number delivery, verification autovetture e consengna numeri
18: 00 – 19:00 crew briefing
Saturday 6th June
08:00 – 09:00 car entrance in the departures park in Noventa Padovana
09:30 official photo of the event
09:50 car alignment
10:00 – 11:00 car departures (max. 60 cars – one every 60 seconds). Ca. 70 km route with stage controls at Vigonovo, Fossò, Campolongo Maggiore, Campagna Lupia, Mira, Dolo e Strà.
12:30 – 13:30 arrivals in Camponogara
13:30 – 15:30 buffet
15:30 – 16:00 short religious ceremony in memory of the missing pilots
16:15-17:30 greeting ceremony of authorities and champions at the cinema-theatre
20:30 gala dinner
